Dear Team,

Let me add my sincere thanks to all of the folks that have made such
excellent efforts to complete this entire maneuver well ahead of our
initial plans and schedule! I would also like to single out Chelle for
her outstanding leadership on all of this.

Thanks again and all the best,
Dave

NominalOperations

Hello Team!

As of 1607 UTC today, IBEX is in Science State, Payload HVSCI mode and
we are happily collecting data. We were at ~36Re ascending (altitude)
when we entered HVSCI. Voltages, currents and counts are all nominal.

We have successfully completed the Orbit Maintenance Maneuver procedu re
and w r the next decade or so, give or take a few years.

Many thanks to the many dedicated team members at Applied Defense
Solutions, Orbital Sciences, Southwest Research Institute and the
University of New Hampshire. Your hard work and diligent attention to
detail is the reason why this operation went so smoothly. It's been a
pleasure working with you on this operation!

Go IBEX!

Subject: IBEX Successful Spin Down & Repoint

Hello Team!
< o:p>The delta-V maneuvers went so well that we were able to
accelerate our return to science! The three delta-V maneuvers have
placed us in an orbit that is lunar synchronous and therefore extremely
stable. It has no eclipses >4 hours for more than 20 years, has perigee
above the radiation belts and geosynchronous, and rotates the hole in
the maps due to the Magnetosphere away from the Helionose. This orbit
far surpasses our requirements and will ensure we do not need another
orbit maintenance maneuver for more than a decade.

This morning we have successfully finished all of the maneuvers
associated with the Orbit Maintenance Maneuver Procedure. We have spun
down to our nominal ops spin rate of 4rpm. We have repointed to ~3.4 de
is the correct orientation for science at this position in our orbit.
All spacecraft systems are nominal.

Tomorrow we will turn on the payload and return to nominal operations.

Subject: [Ibex-public-announcements] IBEX Successful Apogee Delta-V #1
Hello Team!

I am thrilled to say our first delta-V maneuver was successful.

At 2000 UTC today we performed a 600 second delta-V maneuver.
Temperatures, pressures and spacecraft telemetry were all nominal and
the burn executed as planned.

We will collect telemetry & Doppler data over the next few days and get
an OD-based thruster calibration after we go through perigee. We will
use this knowledge to tune the duration of our final delta-V maneuver.

Top Level Timeline:
6/05 0900 - Repoint - Completed
6/05 1530 - Spin Up - Completed
6/08 2000 - ADV1 (Apogee Delta-V #1) - Completed
6/16 1900 - ADV2
6/17 1100 - ADV3
6/24 0900 - Spin Down
6/24 1530 - Repoint
6/24 1730 - CEU on, Hi & Lo on, LV checkout
6/25 1300 - HVSTANDBY
6/25 1500 - HVSCI

Dates after ADV3 are contingent upon achieving target orbit with 3
maneuvers. I will keep you posted.

At 0430 UTC this morning we began the IBEX Maintenance Maneuver
Procedure . The pa he sensors off as commanded in the orbit 127 ATS. We
repointed to align the spacecraft with the velocity vector at the 6/17
apogee. All systems were verified, the pointing vector was approved and
the SSR was dumped. Then the full payload & star tracker were turned
off, and will remain off throughout the delta-V maneuvers. The
spacecraft was spun up to 22rpm to remain spin stabilized for the
maneuvers.

All systems are green, we are power positive, our spin rate and pointing
are adjusted and we are ready to move on to continue on to our first
delta-V maneuver on June 8.

June 5
Hi team,

We have given the official 'Go' for the orbit maintenance maneuver
procedure. We will begin on Sunday, June 5th by repointing to align the
spacecraft with the velocity vector at apogee. After pointing is appr
2rpm for spin stabilization during the delta-V maneuvers.
