Dear Colleagues,

*UPDATE:*

   - More than *120* individuals have registered for the Annual Meeting
next month. This is great news!
   - The Scientific Coordinating Committee has decided that *the
registration deadline is now extended to Monday, June 13th*.
   - About *70* individuals have signed up to give talks. If you indicated
on the registration form that you wish to give a talk, but have not yet
provided your title, abstract, or the length of your talk, now is the time!
*The deadline for sending in all information about talks is also
Monday, June 13th. *Please copy the headings below and paste them into
an email to me at westneyh at caryinstitute.org with a cc to Jackie Matthes
at jmatthes at wellesley.edu with the details of your talk:

Copy and paste:

*Length of talk *(2 minutes-lightning / 5 minutes / 10 minutes)*:*

*Title:*

*Abstract:*

*Part of a series of talks? *

* Yes? List the name(s) and email address(es) of other
presenter(s):*

Things to keep in mind:

*About registration*

   - All attendees must submit a completed registration form.
   - If you are paying for others, please list those individuals' names and
email addresses on the form. Please ensure each individual completes and
submits their own registration form. (Please make sure you also complete a
   form for yourself!)
   - If someone is paying for you, please complete your own registration
form and enter the name and email address of the person paying your fee.
   - If you'd like to give a talk (and you have *not* already
registered), please include ALL information on the registration form:
length of talk / title / abstract. If your talk is part of a series, list
the name(s) and email address(es) of other presenter(s).
   - If you've already registered and signed up for a talk but have not
provided all information, please copy and paste the headings with your
details and email them as outlined above.

*About COVID-19*

   - The Scientific Coordinating Committee understands that some people may
decide not to attend in person due to health concerns.
   - Unfortunately, we cannot offer a hybrid meeting, but we are
investigating options for providing basic streaming of the meeting (viewing
   only).
   - We are working with Plymouth State University to create a conference
environment that is as safe as possible for everyone.
   - The meeting space is large, with two sets of screens and projectors
   that are well spaced-out.
   - Signage prior to entry to the building and to the lobby and meeting
room will request that masks be worn by all attendees at all times other
than while actively eating or drinking.
   - There will be sanitizing stations and extra masks at various points
   throughout the venue.
   - Breakfasts and lunches will be served buffet-style in single-line
fashion with tables staggered against opposite walls. Every effort is being
   made to eliminate congestion.
   - Meals can be enjoyed at three locations, so that attendees can be
spread out while eating: at small café tables in the lobby area; at outdoor
tables; or at tables in the meeting room.
   - Health and safety adjustments will be made, if necessary, closer to
   the event.

IMPORTANT: If you know of anyone who might not receive this email (e.g., a
student) because they may not be on the Hubbard Brook listserv, please
forward this message to them.

Thanks! Hope to see you soon,

Hazel
(on behalf of the Scientific Coordinating Committee)
