Field Technician - Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest
The Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest (HBEF) is looking for a field technician to help maintain site infrastructure, collect long-term data, communicate with outside groups, and assist with several ongoing research projects. The Field Technician provides oversight for summer technicians, interns, and volunteers. This position requires difficult physical labor, critical thinking skills, ability to learn quickly, and leadership qualities. Often the Field Technician works in uncomfortable environments, including inclement weather, buggy conditions, and difficult terrain. Undergraduate degree in an environmental science-related field required. Strong computer and datalogger programming skills, or interest in acquiring these skills, are advantageous though not required.

The position is at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, Woodstock, New Hampshire. Located in the White Mountain National Forest, the HBEF is one of the longest running and most comprehensive ecosystem studies in the world.

The technician will work 40 hours per week year round. The position pays $19/hr and is paid through the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation. Interested candidates should submit a resume to John Campbell (john.campbell2 at usda.gov<mailto:john.campbell2 at usda.gov>). Applications will be accepted through August 19, 2022.
