[premise-users] Premise HPC Maintenance

Hi Everyone -

The Premise HPC cluster will be offline starting Monday, March 11th at 6am until the afternoon of Friday, March 15th. During that time, all compute nodes will be taken offline to perform upgrades and set up connections to the new PixStor/SpectrumScale storage system. Please be sure to save any open files before this time, and plan your compute jobs accordingly.

For those interested, the new PixStor storage system offers many improvements over our old Lustre and BeeGFS systems, and many computational analyses will benefit from this higher performance once your data has been migrated from the Lustre system. We will be reaching out to each PI to discuss migration schedules after 3/15. Note: the PixStor is capable of live data migration, so we anticipate no additional downtime after the 3/11-3/15 maintenance.
