[premise-users] Premise Extended Downtime Due To AC Failures

Today's LDC scheduled downtime work has completed and most systems are
back online now.

Current status:

Three of the LDC's nine in-row coolers are no longer operational,
Replacement parts are being shipped and should be replaced and back
online tomorrow.  Due to the proximity of two of the in-row units we are
likely to leave the Premise HPC cluster down until the in-row coolers
are functional. 

There are a small number of systems that did not come up cleanly and are
currently being worked on.

If you have systems housed in the LDC you should check that they are
functional.  Problems should be reported to: 

 rccops at sr.unh.edu  862-4518

A number of people have now been added to the "rcc-announce" list as a
result of this event.  If you know of people who should be on this list
please contact ops to ensure they are getting these email.

RCC utilized Twitter during this event.  RCC has Twitter and Facebook
accounts which can be updated when our internal email and web channels
are down.  I would encourage people to follow the Twitter feed anytime
there are LDC outages.
