Welcome to the August issue of Hot Topics.  This email is designed to
let you know some of the major topics of discussion in the monthly PAT

 1.        WISE  is here!  The web information system for employees
(WISE for short) is a website that allows UNH employees to access
information regarding their pay, benefits, and other HR/Payroll info.  A
few highlights include: Benefits and Deductions (View Medical, Dental,
Life Insurance, and Disability Benefits, as well as Voluntary and
Involuntary Deductions.), Pay Information (View Paycheck Stubs, Earnings
History, Direct Deposit Allocations, W-4 Tax Exemptions, and W-2 Tax
Forms, View information on current and past jobs held at USNH (since
July 1, 2003 only), view Emergency Contacts information, and much more.

2.        A reminder that an Information Session regarding the new
Family Leave policy will be held on  Wednesday, August 24 , noon to 1:00
in MUB Theater I .  HR has received several questions from employees on
this policy.   Any UNH Employee who has questions about the new policy
is encouraged to attend.

3.        The Application deadline for the Staff Professional
Development Grant is September 8, 2005.  The Professional Development
Grant Program provides the opportunity, for EE, OS, and PAT staff, to
attain new skills or knowledge in a manner that will enhance a staff
member's performance or eligibility for promotion and be of specific
benefit to the department, college, university and/or University System.
