All,

  We performed a successful test of the Lo ISN season gain test sweep table tonight. The new Lo Background table is now loaded with Energy Step 3 for every step of the sweep and the instrument is back to using its normal table. The inertial maneuver was successful. The Orbit 670 ATS was successfully uplinked. The SSR Dump had a high number of errors, so the contact Auwa01 @ 07:00gmt was failed. We also failed the USHI01 contact 1 Dec @20:00gmt. We never did get a good signal from them. We started @320k downlink with a Eb/No of 2.0 –> 6.4 with it occasionally dropping down to 0.2. We tried dropping the data rate down to 160k and the Eb/No was about the same 2.4 -> 4.6. This should have gone up about 3 DB from the 320k Eb/No. We decided to drop the data rate 40k. This should have given us about a 10 DB increase in our Eb/No. It didn’t change the Eb/No levels.
