Hi all,

I approve IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_INST_v001.scr, IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_BUS_v001.scr

Constraint violations: IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_INST_v001.ccvr, IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_BUS_v001.ccvr have the 2 expected violations from removal of  ACT_SetSpinPulseProtectEnable

PL commands in IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_INST_v001.scr match those in IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_v002.stf

Star Tracker Outage: 1 outage that occurs before the 507 apogee maneuver and lasts for ~30 hours.

The ground station command sequences are correct and the timing and bit rates match those in the contacts file, IBEX_Orbit507_Contacts.txt for the (4) contacts.

We are doing battery cell balancing this orbit and the balancing commands are correct and offset by enough time from other commands.

The inertial maneuver at perigee of 506 left us pointing in a safe direction for the orbit 507 arc A ascending and descending sequences:

ibex_rotate -o -u -0.706586,-0.645631,-0.28965 -w ibex-sun -t 2020/11:10:03:48:13

Quaternion    +0.000000,+0.000000,+0.000000,+0.000000

 which is     R.A. +222.419 Decl. -16.837

 missing      R.A. +225.491 Decl. -17.199 (ibex-sun)

 error is     R.A.   +3.072 Decl.  +0.362

The inertial precession maneuver at apogee leaves us pointing in safe directions at the time of the maneuver and for arc B ascending and descending sequences:

ibex_rotate -o -u -0.647603,-0.695053,-0.312269 -w ibex-sun -t 2020/11:13:20:36:49

The inertial precession maneuver at perigee leaves us pointing in safe directions at the time of the maneuver and at orbit 508 apogee:

Subject: Re: IBEX Orbit #507 ATS Approval (10 - 19 Nov 20)

Caution - External Email

I approve IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_BUS_v001.scr and IBEX_2020_314_o0507a_INST_v001.scr. I believe there will be enough room onboard to uplink them during the upcoming apogee contact on 28 October along with the 5 commands in the previously-approved ATS for the orbit 506 star tracker monitoring contact on 2 November.

Nigel

All,

Attached are the planning files for Orbit #507

Please respond to this thread with comments and approvals.

Approvals are required by COB on 27 October 2020

Please note the following:

  1. I generated 3 separate ATS files BUS, INST and a complete file. The BUS and INST will be the files to be uplinked. The complete ATS, I used as a sanity check to see how the commands lined up. Since we are in a new phase of ATS generation. IF you have any ideas of doing this differently, let me know.

  1. The 3 ATS files have been changed to word  files and encrypted. The files that have been transferred via MFT have not been encrypted and are still text files.

  1. I moved the 2 House Keeping commands from the INST ATS to the BUS ATS. I commented out the 2 commands in the INST ATS. If for some reason we were unable to uplink the INST Commands for this orbit, we would have been in the wrong spacecraft state for executing the maneuver commands.
