Hi all,

I approve IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_BUS_v001.scr and IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_INST_v001.scr

Constraint violations: IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_INST_v001.ccvr, IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_BUS_v001.ccvr have the 2 expected violations from removal of  ACT_SetSpinPulseProtectEnable

PL commands in IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_INST_v001.scr match those in IBEX_2020_305_o0506a_v002.stf

Star Tracker Outage: 1 outage that begins before Orbit 505 apogee and runs for  ~8 days.

The ground station command sequences are correct and the timing and bit rates match those in the contacts file, IBEX_Orbit506_Contacts.txt for the (4) contacts. There is another contact scheduled before the Apogee maneuver to verify the star tracker has returned to nominal after the star tracker outage.

We are doing battery cell balancing this orbit and the balancing commands are correct and offset by enough time from other commands.

The sun precession maneuver at perigee of 505 left us pointing in a safe direction for the orbit 506 arc A ascending and descending sequences:

ibex_rotate -o -r +215.767 -d -14.210 -w ibex-sun -t 2020/10:31:23:19:59

Subject: IBEX Orbit #506 ATS Approval (1 - 10 Nov 20)

Caution - External Email

All,

Attached are the planning files for Orbit #506

Please respond to this thread with comments and approvals.

Approvals are required by COB on 18 October 2020

Please note the following:

  1. I generated 3 separate ATS files BUS, INST and a complete file. The BUS and INST will be the files to be uplinked. The complete ATS, I used as a sanity check to see how the commands lined up. Since we are in a new phase of ATS generation. IF you have any ideas of doing this differently, let me know.

  1. The 3 ATS files have been changed to word  files and encrypted. I will send out another email with the password. The files that have been transferred via MFT have not been encrypted and are still text files.

  1. I moved the 2 House Keeping commands from the INST ATS to the BUS ATS. I commented out the 2 commands in the INST ATS. If for some reason we were unable to uplink the INST Commands for this orbit, we would have been in the wrong spacecraft state for executing the maneuver commands.

  1. Apogee Inertial Maneuver – Just a note about the apogee inertial maneuver and the apogee contact. We will be entering into an antenna null just after the maneuver has completed.  The maneuver occurs on 04 Nov 2020 18:41:24 and the apogee contact AOS time is 07 Nov 20 00:28:00. That will be a little over 53 hours. The concern is that we will exit a star tracker outage on 02 Nov 2020 20:05:41.

  1. Battery Balancing this orbit

# Orbit 506 Battery Balancing
