[Isocops] Hi Gain : IBEX ORbit# 247 v002 Contact Request

Forward or aft antenna? We need to confirm remote viewing and then upload a ~60-command ATS so it would be an enormous pain in the butt if a command or two got dropped. Not risky per se, but not something I want to do.

Paul, attached is a view period report. Can you take a look at the orbit (and the orbit before and after if needed) and see if the gain test would fit into another timeslot?

Thanks,
Chelle

Unfortunately that whole view period is kind of crappy. If it had to be that VP, the first hour (27 May 11:30-12:30 UTC) is really all I would recommend. Things get worse as the VP progresses. Not sure if it would be feasible to wait on this or not, but we could see how the contact on 4/27 goes (very similar geometry & alt and same station). If it goes okay, then we could leave this one as is, if it goes poorly decide from there... just a thought.

Would the contact be better if it was moved earlier or later?

Hi Sheral,

The High Gain Test contact on 5/27 is scheduled very close to the edge of the antenna. I think I got the impression from today's call that it can't really be moved around- is that correct? The other three contacts all look fine.

Thanks,
Marissa
