Hello Team,

IBEX has been fully recovered from the BCR Reset via CAR 523, which was approved at the 4pm FRB. This reset and recovery had no effect on the data collection and no data was lost. Spacecraft bus and payload systems are all nominal and properly configured.

During the 2100 UTC contact, the spacecraft was returned to reference power tracking, the heater setpoints were changed to 16/18, the PCM switch telemetry was changed to reflect the observed power states, and the gyro was changed to non-inhibited. The CAR was executed according to plan.

Thank you very much to Tim, Sheral and Bret for their quick diagnosis, recovery planning and flawless recovery execution. Thank you also to the team members who provided input to and/or attended the FRB on short notice. It is wonderful to work with such a knowledgeable and efficient team! Great job!

Go IBEX!
Chelle

Subject: IBEX FRB: 4pm EDT TODAY : BCR Reset

Hello Team,

During today's apogee contact it was found that the BCR had reset since the last contact. The SC State is Science, the payload mode is HVSCI, data is still being collected. A BCR Reset is transparent to on-board science collection operations, but a few default values need to be changed to our current operating values (peak power tracking, heater setpoints, PCM-B switch readings, etc.).

We will discuss the reset and recovery actions at an FRB at 4pm EDT today. Bret will present a CAR with response actions.
