[Isocops] RYAN: IBEX Orbit# 153 ATS v001 (16 Jan 12 - 25 Jan 12)

Hi Ryan,
 
This ATS has an extended battery cell balancing session included (ATS & ABS attached). You did not suggest any long eclipse flag changes needed as a result of the orbit 153 eclipse (eclipse response email below). Is this extra balancing needed or should we return to the nominal 90-minute balancing scheme?

Here's what we should do for each orbit:

150 (12/29/11 eclipse):
1. As discussed, move inertial maneuver to avoid coinciding with eclipse
event.
2. No further action

151 (01/07/12 eclipse):
1. 90 minutes prior to the start of the eclipse, set the long eclipse flag
to TRUE
2. 2 hours after the end of the eclipse, set the long eclipse flag to FALSE
(no further cell balancing is needed)
3. Schedule the inertial maneuver for sometime that is NOT within the span
of the long eclipse flag being set to TRUE
4. Schedule ground contact for sometime that is NOT within the span of the
long eclipse flag being set to TRUE

152 (01/16/12 eclipse):
1. 90 minutes prior to the start of the eclipse, set the long eclipse flag
to TRUE
2. 2 hours after the end of the eclipse, set the long eclipse flag to FALSE
(no further cell balancing is needed)
3. Schedule the inertial maneuver for sometime that is NOT within the span
of the long eclipse flag being set to TRUE
4. Schedule ground contact for sometime that is NOT within the span of the
long eclipse flag being set to TRUE
(Note: here I'm figuring it's easier to go ahead and set the long eclipse
flag for the eclipse even though it's likely not required. We were going to
set it for cell balancing anyway, so I figure we may as well turn it on for
the eclipse and leave it on for balancing afterward.)
