The reason for the difference in the ISOC and MPS prediction in the Moon
In Lo FOV is that the codes use different keep-out angles to define when
the Moon is in the FOV. The MPS predicts are more accurate compared to
what we see in flight. A few years ago I opened this up to the payload
team, and suggested we make the ISOC angles equal the MPS angles. The
general consensus was that the predictions were good enough, and the
code should not be messed with.

ISOC & Lo copied.

Happy holidays!!

Nigel,

Yes. The Lo PMT voltage gets set to standby with everything else
at the end of Arc A, so no need to ramp it back up at end of arc.

After the apogee maneuvers, the Moon is still in the FOV, so
there is a need to return it to the set-back, because the ascending
macros ramp it up to normal full voltage. Operating for a minute or two
that way isn't a big problem.

Finally, at end of Moon-in-FOV time, we do need the commands to
ramp it again back up to normal voltage.

Yes, the commands don't match the .oef predictions; they are
generally off by ~ 25% of the duration of the Moon-in-FOV events and
usually the commands span a shorter time than the .oef gives; I'm not
sure exactly what the reason for that is.
