[Isocops] Battery Balancing Guidelines : IBEX Orbit# 89 ATS (11 - 19 Aug 10)

Good catch Mark. We have a guideline to not do battery cell balancing within 1h of a burn. That would put the earliest start time at $TIME=2010/08:19:04:22:08.

Battery Cell Balancing Guidelines (Overview Attached)
 - Must occur when P/L is in HVSTANDBY
 - Balancing cycles are independent of P/L mode changes
 - No balancing cycles within 2 hours of P/L ASCENDING or DESCENDING
 - No battery cell charging (Long eclipse flag = TRUE) within one hour of a maneuver (both before & after burn)
 - No battery cell charging during an eclipse
 - Stop test if cell voltage stays above 4.35V (persistence of 10) or 4.4 (persistence of 2)
 - Stop test if battery temp rises above 40 degrees

All,
looked over the ATS; I approve.

IBEX-Lo PMT levels are reduced over a span centered within
the moon-in-FOV prediction, with the prediction overlapping by about
an hour and a half either end.

Ascending and Descending macros execute at proper times WRT
15-RE crossings.

Times for contacts match ground times to ~6 seconds before
clock set and to ~0 seconds after.

I'm curious, after the data-dump contact and the inertial
pointing, will the batteries be partially discharged? That's when the
battery cell-balancing operation starts.

The pointing maneuver from the last ATS points us in safe
directions for this ascent and descent (assuming it worked within 1.3
degrees of how it was supposed to):

[tapley at ena ~]$ ibex_rotate -o -u
-0.7605915023455401,0.5955181949147713,0.2585703890340242 -w ibex-sun

  error is R.A. +0.406 Decl. +0.126

[tapley at ena ~]$ ibex_rotate -o -u
