From: Charles Driscoll, Syracuse University; James Saiers, Yale University; and Sarah Garlick, Hubbard Brook Research Foundation
Please join us on April 4 for a discussion of a proposed watershed-scale basalt/enhanced mineral weathering (EMW) experiment at Hubbard Brook.
The goals for this meeting are to:
(1) Provide an overview of the scientific questions and project design for a proposed EMW experiment at Hubbard Brook
(2) Identify interest and opportunities for leveraging this idea for other research and maximizing future value
(3) Identify any blind spots or potential threats: i.e., are there existing efforts or sensitive areas that this project could negatively impact?
Agenda:
2:00–2:10 pm Welcome and introductions
2:10–2:35 pm Overview of the scientific questions and experimental design
2:35–2:40 pm Broader impacts plans
2:40–3:00 pm Clarifying questions
3:00–3:30 pm Small group discussion: Opportunities and threats
3:30–3:40 pm Debrief
