Hubbard Brook COS and GRADS,
I have prepared what should be an easy-to-use GIS package, based
on the GIS data in the Hubbard Brook Data
Catalog. All data are available online as individual
layers (or tiles for lidar). The
advantage here, is that everything is in a single zip file.
There is information in the attached html file on how to use
these data - you might want
to read that first to see if this
is something that will be useful to you.
At the links below, there are zip files with all of the GIS
datafiles
and a QGIS project file (one includes the merged
bar-earth lidar tiles for HBEF). By launching QGIS and then
opening the HBEF project, you
will instantly get a 'starter map'. From there you
can add/delete/configure as you wish. Step by step instructions are in the
attached file. Note that you can ignore the QGIS project, and
open GIS layers in Arc if that is what
you use. QGIS may be an advantage for some, since it runs under PC and MAC, and does
not require a license.
