Hi Lynn,

Thank you so much for all the information! My colleague, Michael Hanes, and I have not scheduled our lodging or linens yet. Apologies!
Would it be possible to submit 2 single rooms w/ linens for each of us for July 11-14? (I tried to submit this myself via the link, but it looks like it's not taking submissions anymore).

Michael Hanes, hanesm@caryinstitute.org, 240-620-2439
Cora Potter, potterc@caryinstitute.org, 781-367-3310

Let me know the final cost, and we can give you our credit card info.

Thanks so much!

Dear Hubbard Brook community,

We are excited to be in-person once again this year for the Annual Cooperators’ Meeting and look forward to seeing many of you July 12-13!

The Cooperators’ Meeting will be held once again at Plymouth State University (PSU) at the Merrill Place Conference Center. Parking is across the street in Hyde Parking Lot #304. Masks are not required, but this meeting will be mask-friendly, and the meeting space is large. We anticipate streaming the meeting for Viewing Only (not interactive), and will provide a Zoom link later.

Lunch will be provided each day at the Prospect Dining Hall during the meeting and is included with your registration. Your name tag confirms your paid registration and will serve as your 'meal ticket' to streamline food service. Breakfast is not included, but can be purchased at the Prospect Dining Hall, starting at 7:30 AM for $9 per person.

Dormitory style lodging is available at PSU: Reservations for a dormitory room in Merrill Place Residence Hall by June 26 are appreciated.

  • Deadline to order a linen packet (sheets, blanket, and cotton towel set) is June 28.  Reservations will be accepted after this date, but availability of linens is not guaranteed.

This year’s talk lineup includes 70 talks! Thank you to everyone who signed up, everyone has been accommodated. A big thank-you to Winsor Lowe for organizing the schedule. As you prepare your talk, please keep in mind that your allotted time includes your introduction, the talk itself, and short questions; so plan accordingly. Additional time for discussion is reserved at the end of each set of talks. Speakers should plan to upload talks to a shared laptop well in advance of their session.

Please note that on the afternoon of the second day (Thurs. July 13th) there will be no committee meetings. Instead, a number of informal field trips will run at Hubbard Brook to get us out in the woods together. A follow-up message will provide more information.

The Barn at the Forest Service at Hubbard Brook will be open for dinner on Wed. evening July 12 starting at 6:00 pm!  Huge thanks to Ian for making this a reality!! Dinner will be provided by two local food trucks (this cost is included in your paid registration). Drinks and dessert will also be served. No alcohol is permitted during the event,  promoting alcohol-free socializing. And great news! The event planning committee has lawn games and a ‘talent’ show lined up. If you do have a talent to share, please contact Raisa Kochmaruk  if you would like to participate.

Attached you will find the schedule of talks with a map of the PSU site and the meeting code of conduct.  Please be sure to forward this email -- and any future emails about the upcoming meetings -- to your students and/or others who will be attending the meeting but are not on the Hubbard Brook listserv email list.  We want everyone to be fully informed!

All the best,

Christy Goodale and Lynn Christenson
