Below are some proposed topics for today’s call about envisioning the future REU/summer education program at HB.

We know that not everybody who would like to have input on this topic is able to attend today.

 

If you are not able to attend today and are interested in participating in future planning for REU and other summer student programs, please reply to Geoff, Hazel, and me.

 

Proposed topics for discussion

 

  1. Should we have a narrow focus on REUs or a broader focus on a broader segment of students present?
  2. Key priorities for summer programming
  3. Recruiting resources—how do we broaden our applicant pool?
  4. Hybrid model
    1. —what would that look like at HB?
    2. How do we combine the in-person cohort with the hybrid cohort?
  5. Planning for summer 2022
