This webinar may be of interest to some.  Dr. Sergiy Zibtsev, 2013 winner of the European Green Star award, has worked for many years on forest fire risks in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, investigating the potential for a catastrophic re-release of radionuclides. You are invited to join a webinar on Forest Management Challenges in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone (CEZ). Forest fires are a key challenge, as the smoke can carry radioactive contamination away from the site to areas far from the CEZ. Climate change is exacerbating the problem, and a recent fire in the CEZ burned at least 28000 ha.
