Good afternoon, Hubbard Brook.

I'm writing with mixed emotions to share the news that Sarah Garlick,
Senior Director of Science Engagement, will be moving on after nearly nine
years of tremendous service to HBRF and the wider Hubbard Brook community.

Sarah was recruited by The Nature Conservancy and will begin work as their
Director of Conservation for New Hampshire on May 1. Sarah's last day with
HBRF will be on April 7. The opportunity to grow professionally, as part
of a bigger team, dedicated to science-policy engagement was irresistible.
Although it is a major loss to Hubbard Brook, I hope you'll join me in
celebrating Sarah's achievements and her transition to this exciting new
career phase.

Sarah's contributions to public engagement with science positioned Hubbard
Brook at the leading edge of this emerging field. This is our opportunity
to take stock of her excellent work and to recognize the creativity,
talent, and dedication that made it all happen.

Of course, please feel free to reach out to Sarah personally to wish her
well. I also invite you to join us for a farewell lunch in Sarah's honor
at Hubbard Brook on March 28 - stay tuned for details.

Sincerely,
Anthea
