[HubbardBrook] Invitation: EvoBio Discussion at HBES

Dear Colleagues,



As part of the Scientific Coordinating Committee’s “brainstorming”
initiative, we are hosting a brief discussion of new ideas about
evolutionary biology at HBES. Chris Neill, our LTER science advisor, has
invited three colleagues from the University of Connecticut to share their
thoughts: Mark Urban <http://hydrodictyon.eeb.uconn.edu/people/urban/>, Jill
Wegrzyn <http://plantcompgenomics.com/>, and Cory Merow
<https://cmerow.github.io/>.



We have allocated the second half of our December 16 SCC meeting for this
discussion. The format is for Chris to provide a brief introduction and
then for our guests to provide a 10-12 minute overview, followed by
discussion for the rest of the 30 minute session.
