From Ken.LaValley at unh.edu Wed Feb 28 15:21:29 2018 From: Ken.LaValley at unh.edu (LaValley, Ken) Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2018 20:21:29 +0000 Subject: [Events-unh] Destiny One platform for non-fee/non-pay events Message-ID: <6a0135c32d774e109d264cc007605603@groot.ad.unh.edu> Dear Colleagues, The Events Management System (EMS), AKA eVents, has been slated for retirement, June 30th 2019). Migration of fee based events from EMS to Destiny One (D1) has been ongoing since 2016. We have recently extended the scope of the Destiny One (D1) offering to include some events that do not levy fees. D1 will not be used for events that primarily serve UNH faculty, staff, and students (e.g., meetings, receptions) or volunteer events with no fee. Other tools such as Outlook and Volunteers for Salesforce should be used for these purposes. D1 does levy a fee of $1.50 per registrant for all events that are not fee-based. These fees will be centrally funded for both fee-based and non-pay events. In support of this decision; effective immediately, new event coordinators are not being trained on the EMS system. Clients who have existing event registration solutions other than EMS, i.e., Target X, Simplicity, I-modules and Qualtrics, should continue to leverage those platforms. D1 will be used across the board for the remaining EMS users for non-pay and fee based events. Benefits of this decision * Consolidation of customer data, including a student portal with complete history of UNH event attendance, regardless of event types * One customer experience for all events * One platform to provide support, training and event coordination Approach * To request a meeting to transition from the current EMS System to D1 please complete the following form Thank you, Destiny One Executive Steering Committee: Kenneth J.
