Hello—

Here are the revised slides, as we discussed on the telecon Wednesday.  Per discussions with an Aerospace colleague, I was thinking I could also add a brief appendix describing how to calculate a dose rate from an LET spectrum.

Hello—

We don’t have to go through these slides on the telecon if there isn’t time – you’ve all seen variants of the content before – but I wanted to send to co-authors and other team members the attached “storyboard” for the paper I’m putting together for Space Weather.  (I have been delayed with some end-of-mission closeout documentation tasks for RPS and MagEIS aboard the Van Allen Probes, which I have been working in parallel with this, as well as other unexpected tasks that came my way.)  I will finalize the first two figures as noted, then flesh out the text and send a draft to co-authors soon.  Then I have to finish the calculation of albedo from a surface desiccated to various depths, approximating it by cuts on my existing simulations rather than redoing a whole new batch, and pull all of that together into a much longer paper to be submitted to a journal TBD.  Then, Heaven forfend, I can get going on some new stuff, starting with an attempt to use techniques like those in the attached PPTX to improve the “bump on scruff” background correction for albedo doubles protons.

Thanks—
