Hello Hubbard Brook Community,
We are pleased to announce that Hubbard Brook: The Story of
a Forest Ecosystem by Richard T. Holmes and Gene E. Likens is hot off the
Yale University Press!
Gene E. Likens co-founded the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study in
1960 and is founder and President Emeritus of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem
Studies. Richard T. Holmes, Research Professor of Biology and Harris Professor
of Environmental Biology Emeritus at Dartmouth College, began his research at
Hubbard Brook in 1969. The telling of the 50+ year Hubbard Brook story is yet
another significant contribution that these two scientists have made to the
Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study and broader science community in general.
Dick and Gene have offered to sign books at the Hubbard Brook
Cooperators’ meeting in July. Yale University Press plans to have this book and
a small selection of related titles available for purchase at the meeting.
Copies can be ordered on Amazon as well (Hubbard Brook: The Story of a Forest Ecosystem).
Happy Reading!
