Dear Friends of Hubbard Brook:

Please note that HBEF policy is that all flagging and markers placed in the forest be labeled by year installed and name or initials of the PI. Unlabeled flags are subject to removal by site management.

There has been a proliferation of unmarked flags this field season. If you want your flagging to remain in place, please follow these simple guidelines. And if you have not reported gps coordinates for plots and observation points, I encourage you to share those with me or Ian so we can add them to the site GIS. This will aid us in protecting your work from disturbance and possible encroachment by future projects.

Please share this information with students and workers. And thanks for everything you do to insure the ongoing integrity of HBEF science.
